Orquestra Buena Vista Social Club ® Founded in 1966, the Cuban Orquestra Buena Vista Social Club ®, with a repertoire dating back to long before the Castro regime, achieved worldwide fame thanks to the 1997 documentary film of the same name by German cineaste Wim Wenders.

This project opened the doors to the world of music for these Cuban artists who, following a world tour playing to packed audiences at top venues, began recording their solo albums.

The performance by the Buena Vista Social Club ® is one of the most eagerly awaited at this year’s MED. The oldest and best known Cuban band in the world will be playing at the Matriz Stage on Friday the 26th of June.
