Drums invade the stage
Tambours du Bronx were born in 1987 in the French city of Varennes-Vauzelles. The inspiration for the name of the band came from an area of their native city called Bronx and which is characterised by its streets filled with black houses. The first drums used by the group also came from this neighbourhood.

Their strong links to their roots meant that their native city was also the venue for the group’s first performances and where they began to make a name for themselves in “urban percussion”. Twenty years after their début performance, Les Tambours du Bronx have a thousand concerts behind them and their vast curriculum includes appearances the world over, in every type of venue from small theatres to chapels and football stadiums.
Over the last two decades, over a hundred musicians have played with the group, which should really be considered more as a music company than as just a rock band.
