Creative Rock from Mexico
This Mexican quartet is considered one of the most daring and creative bands playing Spanish rock, and of alternative rock bands of all nationalities from the 1990s.
They began their artistic career with the launch of the album of the same name, which featured tracks with sounds rooted in British and North American rock but sung in Spanish and also featuring elements of funk and hip hop.
|
During the 1990s, they experimented a variety of styles and attempted to find a sonority of their own, always taking their inspiration from classics such as the Beatles, the Pixies or Ministry.
They found their career path when they launched their double album “Reves/Yosoy”. Playing a crossover of styles from rock to hip hop and from electronic to folk and traditional Latin styles such as samba or mariachi, Café Tacuba are a lively band whose performances are rich, up-to-date and inventive.
