The best of fado
Hailing from the Ribatejo area of Portugal, Ana Moura is considered one of the best-known voices in the new generation of fado singers. Her passion for this most Portuguese of Portuguese music genres dates back to her early childhood, under the influence of her parents, but she initially decided to try out other musical styles and performed with a number of pop-rock bands.

However, Ana Moura discovered that her true vocation lay with fado and her tremendous talent soon led her to fame. In 2003, she launched her début album, “Guarda-me a Vida na Mão” and the very next year, followed it up with another hit, “Aconteceu”. The uninterrupted success of the two works took her overseas for an international tour ending in the Carnegie Hall in New York, one of the most highly-prized concert halls in the world.
Ana Moura will be appearing on stage in Loulé on the 28th of June, and will undoubtedly be performing her already highly-acclaimed songs “O Fado da Procura” and “Os Búzios”, both from her album “Para Além da Saudade” (2007).
